We have already started the construction work of the elementary school building. It is a five-storey building with an auditorium, swimming pool, children’s play area, pre-school and elementary school classrooms with modern facilities and parents’ waiting area. When completed, it will provide facilities for nursery, K1-3, and Grade 1-6 students.
Last year, 26 of our students graduated after completing their 12th grade. One important aspect is that 100% of the graduates have gained admission to universities here or abroad. Out of 25 seniors this year, 22 have set the entrance examinations in Chulalongkorn, Thamasart, ABAC, Mahidol, and King Mongkut’s universities. Two students intend to pursue university education in the United States.
gsgfsRAIS is committed to quality education, helping the students to imbibe the capacity to live, to love,to learn, and to leave a legacy of ethics and morality. I must state that God has blessed RAIS with wonderful and talented students who shine in various school-wide activities.
We have a qualified faculty representing 15 nationalities, but we know that their education does not end at their acquiring of a degree. “A good teacher is a continuous learner.” Therefore, we engage our teachers in various professional growth activities - - Almost every month, our teachers and administrators attend seminars/workshops in the field of their teaching or administration. Apart from this, we have invited two professors this year to conduct seminars for the benefit of our teachers – Rosie Sotes (an eminent Filipino educator) on the topic of Teaching Strategies and Authentic Assessment and David Ghoogasian (a renowned educator from the United States) on the topic of Brain Research Approach for Learning and Understanding of Multiple Intelligences. Apart from our teachers, teachers of 13 other educational institutions participated in the second seminar. The professional growth of the faculty will enhance the holistic growth of the students. As required by the Ministry of Education, Thailand, the course entitled Thai Language and Culture for International School Teachers, was offered on campus making provision for all our teachers to attend.
Finally, I am happy to state that I have witnessed for the past nine years, from its inspection, how God has blessed RAIS. I am confident of His leading for the years to come.
I express my gratitude to the faculty, staff, parents, students and to all well-wishers for their support and cooperation for the development of RAIS. May God continue to bless you.
