Grade 3 Outreach to Rangsit Babies Home

The eager and excited Grade 3 students, together with Mrs. Nelita Janoyan and the parents, joined hand in hand in showing their love and concern to the babies and children of Rangsit Home for Babies on May 16, 2009.

Due to the rapid economic and social changes, many social problems are emerging into our society. These affected children are put in this home as a result of separated, dead, or imprisoned parents. This foundation has been established since July 12, 1977 to provide services to children below 6 years of age who are in need of care and protection. The services provided are intended to lay the foundations for the proper psychological, physical, and social development of the child.

Upon arrival, the group brought their bag of goodies for donation to the reception area for recording.  Our donations included clothes, toys, milk, canned goods, and money to be given and used for the well-being of the babies and children there. Parents, students, and teachers worked together to keep tract of the donated items as the personnel in charge were still busy with other visitors who also came there.

During our tour around the home, we stopped by to see some children who were patiently waiting for us in the small room. Our Grade 3 students had a little mini concert where they sang 3 English Christian songs to the kids who were quietly and intently listening to the 3rd graders melodious voices.  After that, our students and the children spent one time together playing and talking together in small groups. It was joy to see how the little children were so well trained and behaved. During their eating time, they had a designated place to eat, they fell in line and sat in their proper place. They didn't eat their food until everyone got their portion in front of them.  It's really amazing!  While the kids where enjoying their food, our students once again got together to sing another 3 more songs.  Everyone was happy and inspired with the music.

On that happy note, we bid our goodbyes. Each of us was happy and satisfied that we were able to show our love and lend a helping hand to those who are less fortunate than we are.  Even if it was just for a short period of time, it was truly a great blessing to give than to receive. Thank you students, teachers, and parents!
