Grade 4 Outreach

On Saturday, April 25, 2009, the Fourth Graders went to the Home for the Blinds with Multiple Disabilities. Below is a passage written by the Fourth Graders about their trip.
“We, twenty students, a few parents, our teacher Mrs. Annie, and Mr. Richmond went to the Home for the ‘Blinds With Multiple Disabilities’. It was a memorable experience for all of us.
As we got to the place, we saw that the place was full of little children who could not see, walk or talk. Some of the children were just babies. We were very sad to see them in that state. However, the children were happy. They sensed that we were there to care of them. We cared for them by talking to them, and sang to them. We sat and played with the little kids to make them feel loved and wanted.
Almost every one of us contributed some thing or the other. Some brought snacks, some brought clothes for the kids. Some contributed cash. We stayed there for about one and half hour. Then it was time to go back.
After wards we prayed to the Lord and thanked Him for all that He has given us. We thanked Him for His love for us and for giving us all the good things. We also prayed for the children at the Home for the Blinds to be healthy.
