Many countries celebrate Mothers’ day to give honor to mothers.   In Thailand, we celebrate mother’s day on August 12 which is the Queen Sirikit’s Birthday. The Thais set this day to honor the queen as she is the mother of our nation. She has done many things for us and we really thank her for that. 
Aside from this event, it’s also a day for children to honor their mothers, who gave them birth. A Mother plays a very important role in everyone’s life because without her, we won’t be here. She took care of us since the day we were born. She fed us, and taught us how to be a good person. She has forgiven us when we did something wrong. Although she may be angry sometimes, but in her heart, she is still full of forgiveness. She still loves all of us. That’s why we really belong to her.
             In times of our sickness, she still hugged us every night and gave us warmth. She also didn’t care if she would be sick too.
             Without her, I couldn’t live because she’s the precious thing I could find and ever imagine. She is my solution when I have a problem. She always shines me light when I fall into darkness.
In this moment, we want to honor our mothers by giving them flowers, like jasmine, because white color represents the pureness and endless love of our mother’s heart. Aside from this, we must also show love to her everyday not only on mothers’ day. So we very have to take care of her when she grows old and let us remain good son/daughter forever. For my mom, I want to say “I love you mom.”
